Reset Device Passcode

Android

1. Open Settings

  • Go to the Settings app on your Android device.

2. Navigate to Security

  • Scroll down and tap Security (or Security and privacy depending on your device).

3. Choose Screen Lock Type

  • Tap Lock screen, then Screen lock.
  • Confirm your current passcode
  • You will see several options like Pattern, PIN, or Password.

4. Select a Passcode Type

  • Choose PIN or Password for a passcode. (You may select the others but depending on the security settings in place from your business, some may be unavailable).

5. Set Your Passcode

  • Enter the desired PIN (usually 4-6 digits) or Password.
  • Confirm the passcode by entering it again.

iOS

1. Open Settings

  • Go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Navigate to Face ID & Passcode / Touch ID & Passcode

  • Scroll down and tap Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode on devices with a Home button).

3. Enter Your Current Passcode (if any)

  • If you’ve already set a passcode, you’ll need to enter it to proceed.

4. Set a New Passcode

  • Tap Turn Passcode On if you haven’t set one yet, else, tap Change Passcode.
  • You’ll be prompted to enter in your old passcode.
  • Enter in your new passcode and tap Next in the top right
  • Verify your passcode by entering it in a second time then tap Done in the top right.
